Radio 627 started back in 2012 as an internet radio station.  Back then we had radio plays, chart shows and comedy character DJ's.  All was well, and then the technology that the station was built on became outdated and wasn't supported by the new internet browsers.  Seeing as though we were an internet radio station, we knew we had to re-build.

In 2018 we started re-building the station from scratch.  This meant a new website, laptop, new digital mixing desk - and of course the time to learn how to make it all work.  It was only just in March 2020 that we felt we were nearly fully functional and were starting to record pilot shows to re-launch the station.  In the future, we're hoping to do all sorts of things -sports commentary, drama, music...the radio world is our oyster!  If you'd like to get involved and have an idea for a show, or want to work on the tech side, use the contact page.
